Dynamic Dog Functional Assessment
Assessing gait and posture to identify potential underlying pain
Service Description
As a certified Dynamic Dog Practitioner, I use a structured, evidence-based approach to assess your dog’s gait, posture, and movement patterns alongside their daily lifestyle activities. The goal is to identify subtle changes that may indicate pain, discomfort, or physical limitations which can often go unnoticed in routine checks. The assessment involves gathering a detailed history and analysing how your dog performs normal, day-to-day actions such as walking, running, sitting, lying down, sleeping, using stairs, and getting in or out of the car. Video analysis and observation of these movements can help highlight compensatory patterns or postural adjustments associated with musculoskeletal or soft-tissue discomfort. Understanding these physical aspects is an important part of a behaviour assessment, as studies suggest that up to 80% of dogs presenting with behaviour problems may have pain as an underlying or contributing factor. £175 without a behaviour consultation
